Guardian Automotive will invest 5 million euros in its Llodio plant (Province of Álava, Spain) to expand and improve the glass production line. Specifically, new washing and laminating facilities will be incorporated in the process, as well as state-of-the-art automatic inspection equipment.
This technological innovation will result in the optimisation of the production process at the Álava plant, increasing efficiency and productivity, while raising the quality of the end product. All this will allow us to improve and expand our offering in both the original equipment (OE) and spare parts markets.
The investment is yet another example of the commitment to cutting-edge technology, quality and continuous improvement which has characterised Guardian Automotive ever since its inception, as General Manager Oscar Tejedor, points out: “Quality, one of our great hallmarks, is our top priority and one of the fundamental pillars on which to base the development strategy of our business in the future.”
With the technological innovation of the plant, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting the economic fabric and employment in the district of Aiaraldea. Consequently, this is very positive news for both the area and the Province of Álava as a whole, even more so in a context such as the current one, marked by the global health and economic crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
