Today the acquisition of Guardian`s automotive glass operations in Spain and Germany by PARTER Capital Group AG has been finalized. Since the signing of the sales agreement on 27th of February 2020 the necessary regulatory approvals and other closing conditions have been completed.
The acquisition includes the fabrication facilities in Llodio and Valencia, Spain, and the warehouse and distribution center in Karlsruhe, Germany. The development will help ensure the long-term success of the automotive glass fabrication and distribution business in Europe and beyond. We strongly believe this is a positive development for employees, customers and suppliers.
The automotive business will keep the commercial name of Guardian Automotive Europe and the use of the Guardian brand with its name and logo during an extended period. The corporate names of the companies in Spain are Autoglas Opco BM S.L. (Llodio), Valenciana de Suministros y Contratas Industriales, S.L. (Valencia) and in Germany Guardian Autoglas GmbH (Karlsruhe).
Oscar Tejedor has been appointed as General Manager for the whole Guardian Automotive Europe business, with the sites in Llodio, Valencia and Karlsruhe reporting to him. Before, he has been with Guardian Automotive in Spain as the Director of Strategy. Oscar Tejedor brings in his long experience in the Automotive sector, from the Auto maker perspective to the Tier 1 & 2 manufacturing and supplying of car components, in both OEM and Aftermarket business lines.
Oscar Tejedor, his experienced leadership team and all employees take care that our customers benefit from the same reliability and quality of Autoglas deliveries as always. Together with PARTER Capital Group a growth and investment plan will be developed in the next months.
